The Clanton Hills Property is located 110 kilometres (70 miles) west of Phoenix, Arizona. Subject to net smelter royalties, Columbus controls a 100% interest in the property.
Geology
The property is centered on a small bedrock knob, approximately 200 meters (656 feet) in diameter. Most of the claims cover the pediment surface surrounding the knob, where gravel cover is interpreted to be 10 to 50 meters (33 to 164 feet) thick.
Past Work
Reconnaissance sampling of irregularly shaped bodies of quartz and calcite in silicified breccia making up the knob yielded several samples running from 50 to 190 g/t silver (2-7 opt) with gold values to 170 ppb. The breccia is interpreted to have been formed along a northwesterly-trending range front fault, which is mostly covered with shallow gravel. This mineralization is believed to be open on strike and at depth.
Columbus has performed systematic sampling and completed a CSAMT geophysical survey at Clanton Hills.
Planned Program
The Clanton Hills Property is fully permitted for a 14 hole drilling program.
